The application goes through EXE, DLL, OCX and other file types and extracts icons. Those icons can be saved as ICO, BMP, JPEG, or EMF. The icons can also be exported to HTML or DBF. You can save high color icons that have more than 16 colors. You can save icons via command line since Icons from File provides command line support.

Using Icons from File is a very straightforward process. This is because the user interface (UI) which grants access to all the functionality that Icons from File provides, is incredibly simple. Not only is Icons from File easy to use, it is also fast. It will scan a folder you specify and within seconds it will display the icons it found. You can then easily and rapidly save the icons.
